If you go down to you local bookshop, or search online, there is any amount of information and instruction on how to build your own computer. I would never suggest that you don't need to buy a book, or seek specialist advise or training, however with my limited experience and NO TRAINING, I read a lot of articles on the internet, and all of them indicated that the procedure is very straightforward.
I'm also not suggesting that the way I went about things was the correct way to do things, but I do have a working computer that I'm very happy with, and cost me a fraction of what it might have done had I brought an assembled machine retail. With that in mind once I had selected the components, I popped my credit card details in to Ebuyer's website, and a few days later, there was a knock at my front door and I took delivery of a collection of brown boxes. When I opened then, the contents were even more exciting....
